Jordyn Hernandez spent her first year of eligibility playing with Texas A&M - Kingsville. She played in 30 games for the Javelinas and averaged 11.9 minutes per game. She shot 39.3% from the field, averaging 3.7 points per game. She also averaged 3.1 rebounds per game. During the season, she dished out 20 assists, grabbed 21 steals and recorded 10 blocks the season. Prior to playing for the Javelinas, Hernandez went to Burges High School. She was a three-time All-State honoree, a two-time District MVP, the 2022 District Offensive MVP and the City Defensive Player of the Year in 2024. She was also twice named to the All-State Academic Team. She also enjoyed volunteering with the Special Olympics. She also played basketball with El Paso Heart and Texas Lonestar.
