PRIOR TO TWU 
From Fort Worth, Texas, Julie played basketball and also ran track. She was named First Team All-District twice and Academic All-District. She also helped guide her team to the District Championship Title twice. Along with playing for her high school, Julie also played for True Texas Hoops. She was also involved in PALS and Principal Leadership Team.
