AS A SENIOR (2024-25)
After struggling with injury throughout her career at TWU, Glover played in the most games of her career at TWU, appearing in 36 games and starting 28 of those 36 games. She averaged 24.4 minutes per game, shot 38.6% from the field and 66.7% from the free throw line. She also grabbed 105 rebounds on the season, dished out 78 assists, grabbed 29 steals and scored 121 points. As the starting point guard for the Pioneers, she helped guide TWU to their third straight LSC Regular Season Title, second straight LSC Tournament Title and second straight NCAA Sweet Sixteen Appearance. During the season, the Pioneers were also ranked No. 1 in the nation. She dished out a career high six assists on March 14 against Adams State. On Jan. 11, she grabbed a career high five steals against St. Edward's. Glover and the Pioneers also finished the season with their fewest losses in program history (2), and they set a new record for most consecutive wins in season with 27. They broke the program record for free throw percentage in a season, shooting 78% from the charity stripe, which broke the former record of 77.6% set last season. The Pioneers also broke the record for lowest opponent field goal percentage in season, holding teams to just 34.8% throughout the season – breaking the former record of 35.3% which was set during the 2015-16 season. Glover was also named to LSC Athletic Performance All-Conference Team, and she was named the 2024 TWU Comeback Player of the Year.
AS A JUNIOR (2023-24)
In her third year with the Pioneers, Glover helped guide the Pioneers to a historic, record-breaking season. During the 2023-24 season, the Pioneers claimed the LSC Regular Season Title and East Division Title for the second consecutive year. Then, they won the LSC Tournament Title for the second time in program history and first time since 2011. TWU finished with their highest regional ranking, one, and hosted the South Central Regional Tournament for the first time in program history, claiming the 2024 South Central Regional Tournament Title for the first time in program history. After TWU advanced to the Elite Eight for the first time in program history, they made more history by closing the season as the 2024 National Runner-Up. During the season, TWU set numerous records: most wins (34), fewest losses (5), most points in a season (2,826), most assists (603), most field goals made (978), most field goals attempted (2,141), most free throws made (666), and most free throws attempted (858). They closed the season with their highest national ranking in program history at No. 2. Glover appeared in two games for the Pioneers and scored five total points. She missed the remainder of the season due to injury. She was also named to the Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 LSC Commissioner's Honor Roll.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2022-23)
Glover missed the 2022-23 season due to injury but was named to the Fall 2022 and Spring LSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll. She was also awarded the D2ADA Academic Achievement Award.
AS A FRESHMAN (2021-22)
Glover started 12 games for the Pioneers. She played 665 minutes in a season when the Pioneers tied their fewest losses in program history. At the point guard position, she scored a season-high 10 points in the Pioneers win over Western New Mexico on Feb. 12, 2022. She also recorded a season-high four steals in the Pioneers win at UAFS on Dec. 2, 2021 and a season-high seven rebounds in the Pioneers win at Texas A&M - Kingsville on Feb. 19, 2022.
PRIOR TO TWU
A four-year letter winner in basketball at DeSoto High School, Kayla Glover also was named an Academic All-State honoree and a four-time Academic All-District pick. She played on the 6A state championship team as a senior and also competed for DFW Elite EYBL and DCQueens.
