PRIOR TO TWU
Most recently, Madi Lumsden played for Angelo State for two seasons. During her first season, she played in 32 games and started nine of those 32 for the Rambelles, averaging 17.1 minutes per game. She averaged 3.7 points per game, grabbed 56 total rebounds, dished out 36 total assists, 17 steals and one block. During her sophomore season, she played and started in 30 games for the Rambelles. She averaged 27.8 minutes per game on the season. She shot 36.9% from the field, 36.4% from the three point line and 84.7% from the free throw line. She grabbed 84 total rebounds, dished out 70 total assists and grabbed 36 total steals. She averaged 9.6 points per game. She scored a career high 22 points on Jan. 18 against Lubbock Christian. Lumsden dished out a career high seven assists on Dec. 5, 2024 against Texas A&M - Kingsville. She also grabbed a career high five steals on Feb. 1, 2025 against Western New Mexico. She was also named to the LSC Commissioner's Honor all four semesters at Angelo State. Prior to attending Angelo State, she went to Argyle High School. She was named the 2021-22 District Co-Offensive Player of the Year and the 2022-23 District Co-MVP. She was a two-time Jack Frost Tournament MVP, two-time All-District honoree, a three-time TGCA All-State awardee, a three-time TABC All-Region honoree and one TABC All-State award. She was also twice named Denton Record Chronicle All-Area, and in 2022-23, she was named the Denton Record Chronicle All-Area Co-MVP. In 2023, she was also a McDonald's All-American nominee. Lumsden was named the 2022 KSA Holiday Classic MVP and to the 2023 Mav's All-Tournament Team. She was a three-year high school starter, and she scored over 1,400 career points. She helped lead her team to a District Championship Title three times, including two undefeated championship title. They were a state finalist in 2019-20,Area Champs in 2020-21 and State Semifinalist finish in 20212-22. While playing for Argyle, she also played from True Texas Hoops from 2015-22. In addition to success on the court, she also experienced success in the classroom, including four Academic All-District honors and three Academic All-State honors.
