AS A SENIOR (2023-24)
In her fourth year with the Pioneers, Huffman helped guide the Pioneers to a historic, record-breaking season. During the 2023-24 season, the Pioneers claimed the LSC Regular Season Title and East Division Title for the second consecutive year. Then, they won the LSC Tournament Title for the second time in program history and first time since 2011. TWU finished with their highest regional ranking, one, and hosted the South Central Regional Tournament for the first time in program history, claiming the 2024 South Central Regional Tournament Title for the first time in program history. After TWU advanced to the Elite Eight for the first time in program history, they made more history by closing the season as the 2024 National Runner-Up. During the season, TWU set numerous records: most wins (34), fewest losses (5), most points in a season (2,826), most assists (603), most field goals made (978), most field goals attempted (2,141), most free throws made (666), and most free throws attempted (858). They closed the season with their highest national ranking in program history at No. 2. Over the past academic year, Huffman served as a National SAAC representative. She received her first All-LSC honor, being named to the All-LSC Second Team. She was also named to the NCAA Division II Elite Eight All-Tournament Team. She played in 39 games and started 38 games for the Pioneers. She played over 1,000 minutes for the Pioneers and averaged 26.8 minutes per game. She ranked second on the team in field goal percentage, shooting 52.9%. She also shot 34.1% from beyond the arc on the season and 88.5% from the free throw line. She ranked third on the team in points per game, averaging 10.4 points per game. She ranked second on the team in total rebounds with 176 on the season and 4.5 per game. She finished the season with 22 steals and 404 total points. At the TWU Redbud Awards, Huffman was named a Campus Leader with a Heart. Then, at the 2024 Oakley’s, she received the 2024 Chancellor’s Award. She currently ranks 14th all-time in points (930) and ninth all-time in rebounds (457).Â
AS A JUNIOR (2022-23)
Huffman started in 24 of 32 games and played in 691 minutes for the Pioneers to help guide them to the highest national ranking in program history and highest South Central Regional Championships seed (two). She helped the team set a record for most wins (26), fewest losses (six), most consecutive wins (21), and the best start in program history (14-1). The Prosper native also helped lead the team a LSC Regular Season Championship title and East Division Title, first ever back-to-back regional appearances, and helped set a new LSC Championships record with highest three point percentage in game shooting 72.2% from the three in their semifinal win over Lubbock Christian. She recorded a season high 17 points on Jan. 1 against Oklahoma Christian and a double-double versus Eastern New Mexico on Dec. 17 with 10 points and 11 rebounds. The senior finished with 256 points and 149 rebounds. Huffman was named to the LSC All-Tournament Team, TWU All-Sports Performance Team, and the Fall 2022 and Spring 2023 LSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll. She was also awarded College Sports Communicators Academic All-District and the D2ADA Academic Achievement Award.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2021-22)Â
Huffman started eight games for the Pioneers and appeared in 28 games for the Pioneers for an average of 15.9 minutes per game. Huffman finshed the season shooting 48.3% from the field and 43.3% from the 3-point line. She scored double-digits in six games, including a season-high 21 points in the Pioneers win at Midwestern State on Feb. 8, 2022. She also scored 15 points on 6-7 shooting in the Pioneers NCAA Regional win over MSU Denver (the Pioneers first NCAA Tournament win in program history). Huffman grabbed a season-high nine rebounds in the Pioneers win at Southeastern Oklahoma on Nov. 20, 2021.Â
AS A FRESHMAN (2020-21)
Huffman saw action in 13 games with two starts. She scored 6.8 points and grabbed 4.3 rebounds per game. Huffman reached double figures in points three times with a season-best 18 points against West Texas A&M, and she grabbed a season-best seven rebounds in the same game.
PRIOR TO TWU
Huffman attended Prosper High School, where she earned four letters in basketball and one in volleyball. She was a first-team all-district selection, and she played on a regional semi-finalist team. She was also a three-time academic all-district selection.
