AS A FRESHMAN (2025)

Reid, in her first season with the Pioneers, helped guide TWU to their 13th National Title, as the Pioneers claimed the 2025 WCGNIC National Championship. The Pioneers also broke the record for highest team score with a 196.600 in Kitty Magee Arena on March 9 against NC State. Additionally, the Pioneers set a record for highest score in a season opener, scoring a 194.000 to open the season at home against Centenary. She competed on vault in 13 meets for the Pioneers, on bars in eight meets and on beam in five meets. She hit her career high on vault of a 9.800 on Feb. 28 at Clemson. She hit her career high of 9.750 three times on bars, and her career high of a 9.800 on beam three times. She was named the MIC Newcomer of the Week following her performance on three events at Arizona State. Then, she received the MIC Coaches' Choice Award on March 19. Reid helped guide the Pioneers to a second place finish at the 2025 MIC Championships. She placed sixth on vault to ear All-MIC Second Team honors. During the WCGNIC Semifinals, she scored a 9.700 on vault to advance to the event finals and earn her first WCGNIC First Team All-America honor of her career. Reid was named a 2025 MIC Scholar-Athlete, a 2025 WCGNIC Scholar-Athlete, and she was named to the Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 LSC Commissioner's Honor Roll. Following the conclusion of the season, she was awarded the Kayla Jones Bronze Bonnet Spirit Award by her teammates. 

PRIOR TO TWU

From McKinney, Texas, Alaina Reid competed and trained with Zenith Elite Gymnastics. A proven champion, Reid qualified and competed at Regionals in 2021 and placed seventh on beam. Last season, she received the Team Leadership Award. In 2022, Reid worked to overcome and injury and successfully came back to qualify and compete at Regionals in 2023.
