Biography

2008: Competed on bars in every meet for the Pioneers during the 2008 season...posted a career-high bar score of 9.800 on three occasions...had 11 bars scores of 9.700 or better...had four second-place finishes and one third-place result on bars during the regular season...finished third on bars at the 2008 USAGCNC Individual Event Finals...best bar routine of the season came when she scored a 9.800 at the 2008 USAGCNC Team Finals to help the Pioneers rally and win their ninth national championship...participated on floor exercise twice as a freshman...top floor score of the season was a 9.475 on Feb. 17 at West Chester.

CLUB/HIGH SCHOOL:  Comes to TWU from the USA Aerial Athletics club in San Antonio, Texas…tied for third in the all-around and finished second on bars at the 2007 USAG Level 10 Texas State Championships…claimed second on bars and tied for second in the all-around at the 2007 USAG Level 10 Region III competition…qualified for the 2007 USAG Level 10 National Championships where she finished 23rd in the all-around…in 2006, earned a ninth place finish in the all-around at the USAG Level 9 Texas State Championships…finished third on beam, bars, and in the all-around at the 2006 USAG Level 9 Region III meet…a graduate of Sandra Day O’Connor High School and a member of the National Honor Society.

PERSONAL:  A photography major...the daughter of Curtis and Becky Walker...active in the Young Life community group...calls “Wicker Park” her favorite movie and “The Real World” her favorite TV show...best book she has ever read is A Bend in the Road by Nicholas Sparks...preferred meal is spaghetti...hobbies include taking pictures and scrapbooking.
