AS A SOPHOMORE (2025)
Bourgeois, in her second season with the Pioneers, helped guide TWU to their 13th National Title, as the Pioneers claimed the 2025 WCGNIC National Championship. The Pioneers also broke the record for highest team score with a 196.600 in Kitty Magee Arena on March 9 against NC State. Additionally, the Pioneers set a record for highest score in a season opener, scoring a 194.000 to open the season at home against Centenary. During her sophomore season, Bourgeois was a mainstay in the Pioneers bars and floor lineup. She competed on bars in every meet for TWU, primarily as the lead-off, and on floor in 11 meets. She scored a career high 9.875 on bars on March 9 against NC State and hit a career high on floor of 9.800 three times throughout the season. On March 21, she helped guide the Pioneers to a second place finish at the MIC Championships. Bourgeois placed third on bars to earn First Team All-MIC honors. Bourgeois was named an MIC Scholar-Athlete and WCGNIC Scholar-Athlete. She was also named to the Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 LSC Commissioner's Honor Roll. At the close of the season awards, Bourgeois was selected by her team as the 2025 Most Improved Gymnast.
AS A FRESHMAN (2024)
In her first year with the Pioneers, Bourgeois competed in one meet for the Pioneers on the uneven bars on March 8 at the Purple and Gold Podium Challenge. She was named an MIC Scholar-Athlete and a USAG Scholar-Athlete. She helped guide the Pioneers to a second place finish at the 2024 MIC Championships and 2024 USA Gymnastics National Championships. Bourgeois helped guide the Pioneers to a record setting year, as TWU scored their highest score in a season opener, highest score in a home opener, scored their second highest score in program history (March 3), set a new floor record (Feb. 3), set a new home crowd record (March 3) and recorded their highest NQS in program history.
PRIOR TO TWU
A native of Gonzales, Louisiana, Bourgeois competed in gymnastics at Dutchtown High School for four years and with PAC Gymnastics since 2011. Bourgeois was a USAG Level 6, 7 and 9 Champion. In 2022, she was named the High School Gymnastics Star of Stars. She also was a State Runner-Up with Dutchtown Gymnastics and a Level 10 State Champion in 2021 and 2022. A multi-sport athlete, Bourgeois played softball for nine years, earning the starting pitcher spot on her travel team. Along with softball, she also played soccer for five years. Bourgeois is committed to success in the classroom, being a four-year honors student and a member of the National Honors Society. She will be majoring in nursing at TWU.
