AS A JUNIOR (2024)

Brkljacic recorded a great first year with the Pioneers. She competed on vault and beam in 12 meets, while also competing on floor in eight meets. During her first season, she set career highs on all three events. She hit her career high on vault of a 9.825 at the USAG Championships Finals on April 13. She scored a career high 9.900 on beam at the MIC Championships on March 23. Finally, she hit a career high 9.875 on floor at Utah State on Feb. 23. She earned three All-MIC honors - Second Team on vault and First Team on beam and floor. She was also named named the MIC Newcomer of the Week on Jan. 31. At the USAG Championships, she earned Second Team All-American honors on vault. She was also named a MIC Scholar Athlete and a USAG Scholar Athlete. Brkljacic helped guide the Pioneers to a record setting year, as TWU scored their highest score in a season opener, highest score in a home opener, scored their second highest score in program history (March 3), set a new floor record (Feb. 3), set a new home crowd record (March 3) and recorded their highest NQS in program history. The Pioneers closed the season with a second place finish at the 2024 MIC Championship and the 2024 USA Gymnastics National Championships.

PRIOR TO TWU

Brkljacic, from Tampa, Florida, previously competed at NIU for two seasons, 2022 and 2023. While a member of the Huskies gymnastics team, she was named a 2022 Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) Scholastic All-American and a member of the 2023 Academic All-Mid-American Conference (MAC) team. Brkljacic competed on vault and beam with the Huskies, scoring a career-high 9.800 multiple times on beam and on vault. Prior to attending NIU, she competed in gymnastics all four years of high school at East Lake High School. Additionally, Brkljacic trained at LaFleurs Tampa for six years. Brkljacic placed third in vault at the 2021 Gasparilla Classic, was a 2021 Region 8 Regionals Qualifier and placed sixth in All-Around at the 2021 State Meet. She also helped guide her team to the 2021 Level 10 Team State Championship. Committed to excellence in the classroom, Brkljacic served as the 2021 National Honor Society President for her high school.
