AS A SENIOR (2024)

In her first season with the Pioneers, Hoiland recorded a record breaking season. She set a new individual program record on bars of a 9.950 on March 17. She also set a career high on vault at the USAG Championship Finals on April 13. During the season, she debuted on beam for the first time in her collegiate career and hit a career high 9.900 on March 17. She competed 15 meets on vault, 14 on bars and five on beam. Following the regular season, she was named a WCGA First Team All-American on vault with the highest NQS in Division II and a WCGA Second Team All-American on beam with the second highest NQS in Division II. At the MIC Championships, Hoiland scored a 9.875 on vault and beam to claim First Team All-MIC honors. Additionally, she scored a 9.750 on bars to earn Second Team All-MIC honors. She was named the MIC Newcomer of the Year. At the USAG Championships, she qualified for the USAG Individual National Championships on vault. During the individual finals, she scored a 9.825 to be the National Runner-Up on vault and be named a USAG First Team All-American on vault. At the USAG Championships, Hoiland was the senior with the highest all-around score in three events, and she was named the USAG Outstanding Senior Athlete. She was also named a USAG Scholar Athlete and a MIC Scholar Athlete. Hoiland helped guide the Pioneers to a record setting year, as TWU scored their highest score in a season opener, highest score in a home opener, scored their second highest score in program history (March 3), set a new floor record (Feb. 3), set a new home crowd record (March 3) and recorded their highest NQS in program history. The Pioneers closed the season with a second place finish at the 2024 MIC Championship and the 2024 USA Gymnastics National Championships.

PRIOR TO TWU

Kaitlyn Hoiland competed for Oregon State from 2020-23. During the 2021 and 2022 seasons, she was named an Academic All-American. Hoiland owns a collegiate career high of 9.775 on the uneven bars, which she posted at the 2021 NCAA Regionals. She competed both bars and vault for the Beavers. From Kent, Washington, Hoiland trained at Hart's Gymnastics Center for 10 years. While at Hart's Gymnastics Center, she was a three-time J.O. National Championship qualifier. In 2018, Hoiland won the Washington state title on bars and posted second-place finishes on vault, beam, floor and all-around. At the Region 2 Championships in 2019, she claimed the title in all-around, vault and bars and posted a second-place finish on floor and third-place finish on beam.
