Biography

2009: Competed on bars in 12 meets her junior year...posted a career-high 9.750 on Jan. 23 at home against Southeast Missouri State...recorded 9.650 or better in four meets... named 2009 NACGC/W Scholastic All-American and 2009 USAG Scholar Athlete.

2008: Competed on bars in 12 of the team’s 13 regular season meets...also swung bars in two of the squad’s three postseason competitions...top bar score of the season was a 9.725 at a dual meet versus Centenary on Feb. 23...also competed on floor exercise in four meets...best floor performance of the season came on Feb. 8 when she scored a 9.700 in a dual meet win over SEMO...named to the 2008 All-MIC Scholastic team, 2008 USAG Scholar-Athlete, and 2007-08 NACGC/W Scholastic All-America team.

2007: Swung bars for the Pioneers in all of their 2007 meets…average bar score for the year was 9.518…recorded a career-high 9.750 on March 3 rd at Oklahoma…named to the 2007 All-MIC Scholastic team and the 2006-07 NACGC/W Scholastic All-America team.

CLUB/HIGH SCHOOL: A 2006 graduate of J.J. Pearce High School in Richardson, Texas…was a four-year letter winner in gymnastics for the Mustangs…served as the Mustangs team captain in both her junior and senior seasons…helped her high school team to the district championship during all four years…also led Pearce to the Regional Championship in 2003, 2004, and 2006…played a major part in the Mustangs’ fifth-place finish at the 2006 Texas State Gymnastics Championships...competed for the State of Texas in the all-around at the 2006 National High School Gymnastics Invitational...both a Level 9 and Level 10 Regional Qualifier...an All-American Elite gymnast during all four years in high school...named the J.J. Pearce High School 2006 Female Athlete of the Year...as a senior, was a member of “Who’s Who Among Pearce Students” and Who’s Who Among American High School Students...member of the National Honor Society as a junior and senior.

PERSONAL: A kinesiology major…the daughter of Kit and Vickie Miller…hobbies include traveling and spending time with family and friends...volunteers at the Richardson (TX) Regional Medical Center and for Special Olympics...lists strawberries, Caesar salad, and anything Italian as her favorite foods...says the best advice she ever received is, “Hard work beats talent when talent isn’t working hard.”...would live in London if she could live anywhere in the world...says the Bible and people are the two things she can’t live without.

Best gymnast you ever competed against:  Myself, I am most hard on myself, and my own biggest competition.
Role Model:  My parents and coaches.
Most Prized Possesion:  my music, my pictures and my bed
Hobbies:  Team Functions (It’s not really a hobby, but more of a requirement.) Traveling and spending time with my friends and family. 

In ten years, I will be a Sea Otter Activist living in my sister’s pool house.
