AS A SENIOR (2024)
In her fourth year with the Pioneers, King competed all-around three times. She competed on at least three events in 14 of the Pioneers meets in 2024. She tied her career high on vault for the fourth time of a 9.850 on Feb. 19. She set a new career high on floor of a 9.875 on Feb. 19. She competed vault in 14 meets for TWU, on bars six times, on beam in 13 meets and on floor 11 times. She was named MIC Gymnast of the Week on March 6. At the MIC Championships, she scored a 9.750 on vault and a 9.800 on floor to earn Second Team All-MIC honors on both events. At the USAG Championships semifinals, she scored a 9.750 on vault to earn USAG Second Team All-American honors on vault. She was named a USAG Scholar Athlete and a MIC Scholar Athlete. King helped guide the Pioneers to a record setting year, as TWU scored their highest score in a season opener, highest score in a home opener, scored their second highest score in program history (March 3), set a new floor record (Feb. 3), set a new home crowd record (March 3) and recorded their highest NQS in program history. The Pioneers closed the season with a second place finish at the 2024 MIC Championship and the 2024 USA Gymnastics National Championships.
AS A JUNIOR (2023)
King helped lead the Pioneers to second in the USAG National Championship, fourth in MIC Championship, and the second highest GPA in the nation amongst all collegiate gymnastic programs. Individually, King finished sixth in All-Around at the USAG National Championship with a score of 38.425.Â
She reached her career highs in vault and floor while scoring a new career high in All-Around at the MIC Conference meet on March 3. She was awarded All-MIC first team honors on beam, second team honors on floor and vault. King was also named USAG Second Team All-American receiving the honors on vault, beam and floor, and was named to the Fall 2022 and Spring 2023 LSC Honor Roll.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2022)Â
King competed in 15 meets for the Pioneers. She competed on vault six times, bars 14 times and beam 15 times. She claimed the MIC individual title on the balance beam, scoring a 9.800, and earned all-conference first team honors. She qualified for the individual beam championship at USAG Nationals, scoring a 9.850 to qualify. In the finals, she scored a 9.750 and placed ninth. In the team finals, King competed on vault (9.850), bars (9.750), and beam (9.800). Her career high on vault helped propel the Pioneers to their 12th USAG National Championship title. She also scored a career high on bars at the Pioneers' home meet against LSU, Pittsburgh and Centenary on February 25. She was named to the Fall 2021 and Spring 2022 Lone Star Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll. King helped lead the team to its 12th USAG National Championship, third MIC Championship and the highest GPA in the nation amongst all collegiate gymnastic programs. She also earned First Team All-America honors on beam.Â
AS A FRESHMAN (2021)
A first team all-America selection on the beam and a second team pick on the vault... saw action in 12 meets, competing on the bars in 11... made her third appearance of the season on beam at the USAG Championships and posted a career-high 9.875, qualifying for the championship final... set a career-high mark of 9.825 on vault at the Metroplex Challenge... her career best 9.775 on bars came in the regular-season finale at Centenary.
PRIOR TO TWU
In addition to competing in gymnastics, King was a student athletic trainer. She was the 2017 state vault champion, the 2017 regional all-around champion, the 2017 westerns qualifier, and a 2019 Junior Olympics National Qualifier. She competed on the 2019 Junior Olympics National 2nd Place Team.
