Biography

AS A SENIOR (2024)
Farris started in 17 games this year for the Pioneers and recorded 11 shutouts, 63 saves on 166 shots faced, and only allowed 11 goals with a 0.65 goals against average on the year. She helped TWU advance to their first Lone Star Conference Tournament semifinal since 2019 after playing a huge part in their clinching game against St. Edwards in round one to advance to the semifinals where she scored the GW PK goal to send TWU to the semifinals. 

She was the LSC Preseason Goalkeeper of the Year, two-time conference goalkeeper of the week award winner along with being honored All-Region, All-Conference goalkeeper, and named to the CSC Academic All-District team in her senior campaign. Farris also completed the season with goals-against average ranked in the top 30 in NCAA Division II.

AS A JUNIOR (2023)

Farris started in all 19 games this year for the Pioneers and recorded 10 shutouts, 57 saves on 188 shots faced, and only allowed seven goals with a 0.37 goals against average on the year. She helped lead TWU to a historic 2023 season where they had the best start in program history (5-0), placed fourth in the Lone Star Conference, and reached the NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Championship for the first time since 2019.

Farris led the Lone Star Conference in goals against average, saves, and shutouts per game and became one of the first Pioneers since 2018 to earn United Soccer Coaches All-South Central Region honors. The junior goalkeeper was named to the Lone Star Conference All-Conference Second Team and the All-South Central Region Second Team for the second time in program history. She earned the Goalkeeper of the Week award four times through the season and was also listed on the Fall 2023 Lone Star Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.

PRIOR TO TWU
A transfer goalkeeper from the University of Houston, Amanda Farris joins the Pioneers as a sophomore from Bryan, Texas, who brings collegiate experience to the team. While attending Rudder High School and also playing for the Albion Hurricanes, Farris was named the District 18-5A Newcomer of the Year.

Also committed to success in the classroom, Farris graduated in the Top 2% at Rudder and plans to major in marketing at TWU.
