2011: Appeared in 16 games…earned Lone Star Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll and Athletic Director’s Association Academic Achievement Award.

2010: Appeared 11 games while making one start in her first season with the Pioneers...recorded one shot on goal...named Lone Star Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll...eceived Division II Athletics Directors Association Academic Achievement Award.

Prior to TWU: Played one year at Angelo State University in 2008...appeared in eight games off the bach for the Rambelles...recorded two shots on the season.

High School: Played four years at Grapevine High School for Jason Bates (2004-06), Eric Littlejohn (2006) and Ryan Davis (2007)...helped the team to district championships in 2006-07 and 2007-08 and region quarterfinals in 2005-06...named team’s offensive player of the year in 2004-05 and 2005-06…extensive club experience with the D’Feeters ‘90 team and the Sting West Soccer Club...helped the D’Feeters capture WAGS Championship in 2003-04 and TSC Challenge Championship in 2002-03.

Personal: Ashley Nicole is the daughter of Tim and Rhonda Van Bakel...has a brother Chad and sister Brittini…a psychology major…born Nov. 27, 1989…has Grade 8 Referee license...enjoys movies, shopping and volleyball when not playing soccer.
