Jazmine Navarro

Jazmine Navarro was named Assistant Coach for the Texas Woman's soccer team in February 2024.

Navarro brings seven years of collegiate soccer experience to TWU – both as a student-athlete and as a graduate assistant coach. She is well-versed in Division II soccer, after playing five years at Texas Woman's and coaching for two years at Southern Nazarene.

While a student-athlete at TWU, Navarro grew her passion for soccer and developed a deep connection with the mission of TWU.

As she began her career as a freshman in August 2017 and completed her undergraduate degree in May 2022, Navarro recorded a historical career as a Pioneer.

In 2019, she led the Pioneers to their first NCAA Tournament Appearance in program history. Navarro ended her career at TWU as the program's all-time leader in games started (82) and games played (82). Additionally, she tied the program record for most assists in a game at three and holds the record for most career assists with 18.

Throughout her time with the Pioneers, she was honored for her efforts on the field with four Lone Star Conference postseason awards and two United Soccer Coaches All-Region awards. Navarro was also acknowledged for her success in the classroom, earning a spot on the LSC Commissioner's Honor Roll List all five years.

Navarro also worked to further establish herself as a leader and grow in her leadership skills, while serving as a Team Captain for the Pioneers for multiple seasons.

In 2022, she graduated Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a Sports Management focus.

After TWU, Navarro served as a graduate assistant at Southern Nazarene in Bethany, Okla., while pursuing her Master of Arts in Leadership. In her two seasons with the Crimson Storm, Navarrro assisted with game planning and practice plans. She also led drills during practice and helped recruit future athletes.

While assisting the Crimson Storm, Navarro helped guide SNU to multiple program records, including most goals scored, best shutout percentage, winningest season and fewest goals allowed. She also coached eight all-conference student-athletes, one of which was named the Great American Conference (GAC) Offensive Player of the Year. In 2023, she coached two all-region student-athletes and helped guide SNU to their first GAC Tournament appearance in six years.

Navarro said she is passionate about promoting success and mentoring young women in her leadership role as the Assistant Coach.
