Cheyenne Savony is in her first season as the Pioneers’ graduate assistant coach. She comes to TWU after serving as the head softball coach and head athletic trainer at West Rusk High School the last two seasons.
Savony was a pitcher/utility at Southern Arkansas from 2004-08. She earned Gulf South All-Conference honors three times and Academic honors four times. Savony was named the 2008 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District and was six-time member of the Southern Arkansas President’ list.
She earned two bachelors degrees from SAU in Athletic Training and Physical Education, Wellness and Leisure with a grade point average of 3.97. Savony was member of the Alpha Chi National College Honor Scholarship Society.
She is pursuing her master’s and PHD in Sports Management at TWU.
