AS A FRESHMAN (2023)
Hickey appeared in eight games this year for the Pioneers. The freshman defender helped lead TWU to a historic 2023 season where they had the best start in program history (5-0), placed fourth in the Lone Star Conference, and reached the NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Championship for the first time since 2019. Hickey was also named to the Fall 2023 Lone Star Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.

PRIOR TO TWU
An outside defender from Buda, Texas, Karis Hickey joins the Pioneers after playing at Moe and Gene Johnson High School, where she also ran track for one season. She earned All-District honors all four years, including Honorable Mention, Second Team and First Team. Additionally, after her junior season, she was named the MVP of her team, and, following her senior season, she was named Defensive MVP. She guided her team to the District Playoffs during her freshman season. Outside of high school, she played club soccer with Surf for three seasons and Classic Elite for one season.

Hickey was also honored for her commitment to academic excellence, earning Academic All-District honors all four years and THCSA Academic All-State after her senior season. She plans to major in criminal justice at TWU.
