Biography

AS A SOPHOMORE (2023)
Henderson appeared in 17 games this year for the Pioneers and recorded three shots on goal out of eight total shots taken. She helped lead TWU to a historic 2023 season where they had the best start in program history (5-0), placed fourth in the Lone Star Conference, and reached the NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Championship for the first time since 2019. Henderson was also named to the Fall 2023 Lone Star Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.

AS A FRESHMAN (2022)
Henderson appeared in all 17 matches for the Pioneers and started 14 with 1,172 minutes played. She recorded three shots on goal with a total of 16 shots. Henderson was listed on both the Fall 2022 and Spring 2023 LSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll. The Rowlett native was also presented with the Division II ADA Academic Achievement Award.

PRIOR TO TWU
Zayda Henderson graduated from Rowlett High School. A multi-sport athlete, Henderson played basketball, soccer, volleyball and ran track. She earned All-District honors and was named Rowlett's Most Valuable Offensive Player. She also was named to the Academic All-District team. In high school, she served on the homecoming committee and was a member of the National Honors Society and the Black Student Alliance. She also played club soccer for Sting Royal.
