Biography

From Junction City, Kan., Gracie Erichsen joins the Pioneers as a multi-sport athlete. While growing up, she has competed in basketball, soccer, gymnastics, dance, track and field, softball and tennis. Growing up, she went to the National Junior Home Run Derby twice. During her senior year, she played tennis, advancing to regionals and state with her doubles partner. She was named an All-State tennis athlete. Additionally, she is a State Champion in shot put and a three-time All-State Track Athlete. She has played volleyball for 12 years. During her freshman and sophomore seasons, she was All-League and All-State Academic for volleyball. She also played volleyball for her Manhattan Mamba Volleyball Club. In 2025, they placed 18th Nationally in the Patriot Division. Erichsen is also committed to success in the classroom. She graduated in the Top 1% of her class. She was a 2025 Kansas Governor's Scholar, a 2025 National Honor Society President, four-time High Honor Roll and two-time Dual Enrollment Honor Roll. She is also involved in community service. Annually, she hosts "Giggin with Grady" -- a memorial frog hun in honor of her brother who passed away in 2020. She has also been involved with the National Honor Society, Junior Optimist Club, and 4-H.
