PRIOR TO TWU 
Most recently, Jonaida Donowa played collegiate volleyball for Queens College, as a middle blocker. She appeared in 110 sets during her freshman season and recorded 182 kills, .215 attack percentage, 18 aces, 61 digs, 77 total blocks and 249 total points. She hit a career high 11 kills on Sept. 13 against East Stroudsburg, and she also recorded a career high seven total blocks on Sept. 29 against Roberts Wesleyan. During her time with the Knights, she was named a two-time Defensive Player of the Week and one time Honor Roll Weekly award. Before attending Queens College, she was a dual sport athlete, competing in both dance and volleyball. She played with her high school and also club volleyball with Texas Legacy. During the 2021-22 season, whe was named First Team All-District and Offensive MVP. Then, in 2023-24, she earned Second Team All-District honors. During her four seasons, she claimed Academic All-District honors all four years. In 2023-24, Donowa helped guide her team to the 6A State Championship.
