Biography

AS A JUNIOR (2022) 
Saylor appeared in 59 sets across 17 matches for the Pioneers. She more than tripled the amount of kills from her sophomore campaign with 171 on 553 total attacks. The senior finished with 117 digs and contributed 192 points. Saylor recorded a season high in kills and total attacks with 20 kills on 41 total attacks on  Sept. 2 against Fort Hays State. Saylor was listed on the Fall 2022 and Spring 2023 LSC Commissioner's Honor Roll and received the Division II Academic Achievement Award. She was also named to the Denton Volleyfest All-Tournament Team and helped the team receive its 16th consecutive USMC/AVCA Academic Award.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2021)
Saylor saw action in 19 sets across six matches. She finished the season with 50 kills, including a season-high 16 kills on September 4 against Missouri Southern State. Saylor was named to the Fall 2021 and Spring 2022 LSC Commissioner's Honor Roll. 

AS A FRESHMAN (2020)
A member of the Lone Star Conference's All-Freshman Team and an All-Lone Star Conference honoree, Saylor saw action in 46 sets across 12 matches. She registered 150 kills on 497 swings for a .153 hitting percentag. Saylor reached double figures in kills eight times, with a season high of 27 kills at DBU. She posted a season high of 26 digs against UT Tyler.

PRIOR TO TWU
Kaia Saylor prepped at Aubrey High School, where she earned four letters in volleyball, basketball, and track. She was named newcomer of the year, a three-time first team all-district pick, a two-time 11-4A Offensive Player of the Year, two-time all-area in addition to being named all-state. Saylor was also a three-time all-district pick in basketball, in addition to being named newcomer of the year and a three-time regional qualifier in track.
