Biography

AS A SOPHOMORE (2024)
In her second season with the Pioneers, Williams helped lead TWU to a historic season. The Pioneers returned to the LSC Tournament for the second straight season. Then, they were selected as the sixth seed in the 2024 NCAA South Central Regional Tournament, returning to the regional for the first time since 2015. Over the course of the season, the Pioneers posted their longest win streak, 11, since 2003. They also defeated No. 22 DBU on Nov. 6, marking their first win over a ranked team since 2017. Williams appeared in four sets for the Pioneers. She finished with two kills and two points on the season. Williams was named to the Fall 2024 and Spring 2024 LSC Commissioner's Honor Roll. 

AS A FRESHMAN (2023)

Williams did not compete in her freshman campaign for the Pioneers due to injury. She was part of a historic 2023 season where the Pioneers had their best start to LSC play since 2015, returned to the LSC Championships for the first time since the 2019 season, and returned to the NCAA South Central Regional Rankings. Williams was also named to the Fall 2023 LSC Commissioner's Honor Roll.

PRIOR TO TWU
Born and raised in Waco, Texas, Miriam Williams has been playing volleyball for eight years for clubs such as Waco Juniors from 2015-2021 and NRG Volleyball Club from 2021-2023. During her high school career, Williams won honors such as District MVP, three-time First Team All-District, and Centex Player of the Year. In 2022, Williams led her high school team to being crowned the Bi-District Champions and Area Champions.
