Biography

AS A JUNIOR (2024)
In her third season with the Pioneers, Woods helped lead TWU to a historic season. The Pioneers returned to the LSC Tournament for the second straight season. Then, they were selected as the sixth seed in the 2024 NCAA South Central Regional Tournament, returning to the regional for the first time since 2015. Over the course of the season, the Pioneers posted their longest win streak, 11, since 2003. They also defeated No. 22 DBU on Nov. 6, marking their first win over a ranked team since 2017. Woods earned her third straight All-LSC honor, as she was named to the All-LSC Second Team. Woods was also named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team for the second straight year. During the course of the season, Woods led the Pioneers in points (340.5), kills (303) and kills per set (3.19). She ranked second on the team in digs per set with 2.96 and second on the team in aces with 23 on the season. During the year, she appeared in 95 total sets with 26 total starts. She recorded a career high 27 kills on a career high 59 attacks against Hillsdale on Sept. 7. She recorded a career high 26 total digs on Sept. 28 against Angelo State, and she recorded a career high two block solos on Nov. 21 against Dallas Baptist. Her 303 kills marked a career high in a season for the junior, as did the 340.5 points. She also recorded 13 double-doubles on the season (kills and digs). She was named to the Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 LSC Commissioner's Honor Roll. 

AS A SOPHOMORE (2023)

Woods appeared in 29 matches for the Pioneers in her senior campaign. She finished with a team high 286 kills on 891 total attacks, 19 assists, 36 service aces, 291 digs, and 20 total blocks in 106 total sets played. Woods recorded a career high 22 kills on Sept. 2 against Saint Martin’s. She helped lead TWU to a historic 2023 season where they had their best start to LSC play since 2015, returned to the LSC Championships for the first time since the 2019 season, and returned to the NCAA South Central Regional Rankings. Woods was also an LSC Honorable Mention and named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team and the Fall 2023 LSC Commissioner's Honor Roll.

AS A FRESHMAN (2022)
Woods appeared in a team high 105 sets across all 28 matches for the Pioneers. She led the team in points, kills, total attacks, and service aces. The sophomore recorded 282 kills on 878 total attacks, scored 42 service aces, and contributed 338.5 points. She finished with 274 digs, 27 total blocks, and 25 block assists. Woods recorded a season high 20 kills on 55 total attacks against St. Mary’s on Sept. 16. She was named to the Fall 2022 and Spring 2023 LSC Commissioner's Honor Roll, All-Lone Star Conference Second Team, and the Lone Star Conference All-Freshman Team. She also received Denton Volleyfest All-Tournament Team honors and helped the team receive its 16th consecutive USMC/AVCA Academic Award.

PRIOR TO TWU
A decorated high school athlete at West Lafayette, Tori Woods played four years of volleyball and one year of softball. Woods was named a three-time J&C First Team All-Area, a three-time All-Hoosier Conference, a three-time West Lafayette Most Valuable Player, and a two-time 3A All-District. In 2020, Woods was named to the AVCA Phenom List. During her senior season, in 2021, Woods was named an AVCA Player of the Week (Sept. 6-12), AVCA High School All-Region Team, AVCA First Team, Best and Brightest Award, and Academic All-State. Woods led her team to a 3A Sectional Championship in 2019. Then, in 2021, West Lafayette won the Hoosier Conference, repeated as Sectional Champions, and won the 3A Regional Championship. Woods also played club volleyball for Performance Point 15-1 (2018), Circle City 16-1, 17-1, 18-1 (2019-21).
