Martinez brings extensive international competitive experience to the Pioneers after representing both the United States and Mexico on the senior national team stage. Most recently, she helped Team USA capture the gold medal in the acrobatic routine at the 2026 World Cup in Medellín, Colombia. She also competed at the 2026 World Cup in Paris, France, and the 2025 World Cup in Markham, Canada.
Martinez claimed multiple national titles at the 2024 U.S. National Championships, winning the free solo and acrobatic routine while adding a runner-up finish in the technical solo. She also earned a silver medal in the technical solo at the 2023 U.S. National Championships.
Before joining the U.S. Senior National Team, Martinez represented Mexico internationally, helping the Mexican Senior National Team to a fourth-place finish in the highlight routine at the 2022 World Championships in Budapest, Hungary. She also won a gold medal in the free team event at the 2018 Central American and Caribbean Games in Barranquilla, Colombia.
During her junior career, Martinez established herself as one of the sport's top young athletes. She captured Junior Olympic titles in the technical and free solo events in 2021, earned multiple championships and medals at the Pan American Championships from 2015-21, competed at the 2016 Junior World Championships in Kazan, Russia, and won team and combined routine gold medals at the 2016 Canada Open. She also claimed the combined routine title at the 2015 U.S. Open.
In addition to her competitive accomplishments, Martinez has developed coaching experience through her work with the City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks, where she served as a lifeguard, novice artistic swimming coach and swimming instructor. Since 2021, she has also worked as a private artistic swimming and swimming coach, providing individualized instruction and athlete development.
Martinez earned her bachelor's degree in accounting from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). She is CPR and First Aid certified, holds a lifeguard certification and is fluent in English and Spanish.
