Coreyon Chester

The Texas Woman's Athletic Department proudly announces Coreyon Chester as the Sports Information Director in June 2024.

Previously, Chester served as the Communications Graduate Assistant with TWU Athletics. Through his role, Chester assisted in coordinating live stream set-up for game days, authored pre- and post-game articles, coordinated social media coverage and served as a content creator for all nine sports. He also worked to learn stat programs, graphic design and took on opportunities to grow his leadership skills. In the spring semester, Chester continued to grow in his role and became the primary contact for STUNT, as he covered the team's historical first year in the Lone Star Conference.

Prior to coming to TWU, Chester worked as an Athletic Communications Intern at Lindsey Wilson College. He was responsible for writing articles, creating media notes and game day set-up. Chester also grew his skill set while assisting in keeping stats, PA announcing, broadcasting and overseeing live social media coverage.

Chester moved to Lindsey Wilson College after completing his undergraduate degree at the University of North Texas, graduating with a degree in broadcast journalism. He also worked as a student volunteer for UNT Athletics, assisting primarily in women's basketball coverage.

Additionally, during the summer after graduating, Chester worked with Capital City Youth Association, serving as a Social Media Manager Intern. In this role, he coordinated the team's media content, conducted team interviews, created highlight packages and authored recaps.

The summer before, in 2021, Chester also created highlights and coordinated team media content in his role with Urban ASAK Elite as their videographer.

Additionally, Chester holds an associate's degree in general studies from Austin Community College. He is also currently pursuing his master's degree in sports management from TWU.
