Tameka Warren joined the TWU Sports Medicine Department in July of 2026 as the Associate Head Athletic Trainer for the Stunt and Volleyball programs.
Warren earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a concentration in Sports Science from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2021. She went on to complete her Master of Science in Athletic Training at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, graduating in 2025.
During her time as a graduate student, Warren gained valuable clinical experience working with Texas Tech University’s track & field program, which earned Big 12 Championship titles in both the men’s and women’s indoor and outdoor seasons. She also worked with the men’s and women’s basketball programs and the track & field program at Lubbock Christian University. In the fall of 2024, she completed a clinical immersion with the University of Texas football program during their SEC Debut. After graduation, she spent a year at Louisiana State University where she worked with the Cross Country and Track & Field teams for the 2025-2026 season. These teams went on to make their first ever NCAA Nationals appearance during the cross-country season, along with the Men's team placing 4th overall at the NCAA Outdoor National Championship.
Warren is certified in Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) and QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) and is an active member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) and the Southwest Athletic Trainers’ Association (SWATA).
She enjoys building LEGO sets, traveling, going to the movies, and spending time with her two dogs Maverick and Dodger.
