Tanda Lamb joined the Texas Woman's University Athletics staff as an Associate Head Athletic
Trainer at the beginning of March 2024. She was previously an Assistant Athletic Trainer at
Northwestern State University with the football and track/field teams.
Tanda graduated with her Masters in Athletic Training in May 2023 from the University of
Houston. During her graduate school tenure she worked with a multitude of sports including
football and baseball at the University of Houston, football and track/field at Rice University,
and she completed a full school year with the Houston Texans. While attending school she had
the opportunity to work with the Memorial Hermann Half/Full IRONMAN and the Houston
Methodist Full/Half Marathon. She was also the fundraising coordinator within the school
program and a district 6 student senator for the Southwest Athletic Training Association.
Tanda received both her Bachelors in Science and Bachelors in Human Performance with a
concentration in Sports Medicine in May 2021 from the Howard University in Washington DC.
While at school she served as a lead student in the sports medicine student aid program working
with all sports, with football and men’s basketball being her primary sports. She served in many
leadership positions including the executive boards of the NPHC, dorm council, Howard
University Step Team, and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated Alpha Chapter and International
Executive Board.
She currently works with the volleyball, basketball, and dance teams for the school. She is
also certified in dry needling and working on obtaining her Master’s in Business Administration
with a concentration of Women in Leadership.
