Veronika Webb

Veronika Webb joins the Pioneers as the Assistant Volleyball Coach in 2024. Most recently, Webb served as the Head Volleyball Coach at Vernon College for one year, a community college in Vernon, Texas. Under her leadership, the program experienced its most conference wins in three seasons and closed the season ranked in the top four in the conference. Additionally, Vernon made its first postseason appearance in four years. Webb successfully coached three All-Region student-athletes and one All-Region Tournament Team selection.

Prior to serving as the Head Coach, Webb worked as the Assistant Volleyball Coach at Vernon College. As an assistant, she oversaw practice plans, scouting efforts, budgets and created a strength and conditioning plan for the team.

Before entering the collegiate coaching space, Webb assisted in coaching volleyball at Sam Houston High School. As a fill-in for a recently retired coach, Webb ran the freshman volleyball program - building their skills to prepare them for junior varsity or varsity. She also assisted in coaching the junior varsity and varsity teams.

Webb also coached club with NRG Volleyball. from 2020-22. During this time, she helped increase the knowledge and skills of volleyball with girls from 8-years-old to seniors in high school. She coached at clinics, leagues and clubs, assisting with 17's and 16's team while also serving as the head coach of the 14's team. She also ran beach tournaments for four years – putting together brackets, pools and following USA Beach Volleyball Rules.

Webb, a middle blocker, graduated from Mansfield Summit High School in 2017, as a three-time All-District volleyball player. After graduating, she played her freshman collegiate season at Texas Woman's, appearing in 30 sets and 12 matches. She closed her freshman season with 10 kills, 11 digs, four blocks and 18.5 points.

Then, Webb transferred and played one season at North Central Texas College (NCTC). She played in 37 matches, 125 sets and recorded 265 kills, four aces, 40 digs, 55 total blocks and finished the season with 303.5 total points. She also earned NJCAA Region 5 Second Team honors and All-Tournament Team honors.

Following one season at NCTC, Webb transferred to Texas Wesleyan, where she played three seasons under Head Coach Jessica Ransom. During her three seasons with the Rams, Webb helped the Rams advance to three NAIA National Tournament appearances. In her senior season (2021), Webb and the Rams won their first Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) title since 2005. They closed the season at the NAIA National Championship final site, ending the season ranked No. 23 nationally – their first time in the Top 25 since 2019. During the Rams' historic season, Webb finished third in the nation in hitting percentage, hitting .409.

Across her three seasons with the Rams, Webb played in 320 sets and recorded 750 kills, 142 digs, 264 total blocks and 911.5 points. She finished with a .336 career hitting percentage.

At Texas Wesleyan, Webb was a two-time SAC Second Team honoree. Then, in 2021, she was named to the SAC First Team, SAC All-Tournament Team, SAC All-Academic Team, and she closed her collegiate campaign as a 2021 NAIA All-American.

She graduated from Texas Wesleyan in 2021 with a bachelor's degree in psychology.
