TWU senior forward Renee Renz set a new Lone Star Conference record for most points in a game when she tallied 63 points in the Pioneers' dramatic 147-143 quadruple overtime loss at Abilene Christian on Jan. 5. The prolific point total also equaled the third-highest single-game scoring effort in NCAA Division II history. Renz's big night came in an efficient manner as she made 22 of 36 field goal attempts, four of seven three point shots, and 15 of 17 free throws. The 22 field goals made by Renz also set a new LSC record for most field goals made in a game (a record equaled in the same game by ACU's Jamie Meyer). The monster outing against ACU capped off a four-game stretch for Renz that saw her average 35.2 points and 14.0 rebounds per game. She is now averaging 35.2 points and 14.0 rebounds per game this season, the second-most in the LSC. Her 12.9 rebounds per game lead all LSC players.
