DENTON, Texas (Dec. 29) – The Pioneers will open their Lone Star Conference schedule on New Year's Eve when they host Tarleton State.  The game against TSU on Thursday, Dec. 31 is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. in Kitty Magee Arena.  TWU will also ring in the New Year against Midwestern State on Saturday, Jan. 2 at 2:00 p.m. in Kitty Magee Arena. 
 
The game against MSU is the end of five-game homestand for the Pioneers which started on Dec. 15th.

Free "Cheer for the Pioneers!" t-shirts will be given away on Thursday, Dec. 31.  The Pioneers will also host a Free Youth Basketball Clinic on Saturday, Jan. 2.  The clinic will start immediately following the game against Midwestern State and will be conducted by the TWU players and coaches.  The clinic is open for girls and boys in eighth grade and below and will last approximately one hour.  Participants are asked to bring their own basketball.  TWU youth basketball will be on sale for $5 while supplies last.
