DENTON, Texas (Feb. 11) – The TWU basketball team is set to play twice this week, a home game on Wednesday and road game on Saturday. The Pioneers will host Texas A&M-Kingsville on Feb. 11 at 7:00 p.m. in Kitty Magee Arena and then travel to San Angelo, TX, to face Angelo State on Feb. 14 at 2:00 p.m. in Junell Center.
Live stats and live video are available for both games. The links can be accessed by clicking the "Multimedia" tab on TWUAthletics.com.
Wednesday night's tilt vs. A&M-Kingsville will be a special one. TWU has partnered with the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) and designated the contest against the Javelinas as a Play4Kay game. The Pioneer basketball players will be wearing their brand new pink uniforms and all fans attending the game are also encouraged to wear pink to show their support in the fight against breast cancer. In keeping with the spirit of the event, pink cotton candy and pink shaved ice will also be given away to fans (while supplies last) for a donation to the Kay Yow Cancer Fund. Fans are also encouraged to donate one dollar for every three-point basket made in the game by the Pioneers to the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.
