TWU made eight three pointers in the game, tying their season-high for most threes made in a game which was originally set on Thursday, Jan. 15, vs. Cameron. The Aggies outscored TWU, 19-3, from the free-throw line.
"This is a tough loss after rallying back from a double-digit deficit," said TWU head coach
Beth Jillson. "We had a bad five-minute segment in the second half and Cameron went on a big run. I am proud of the way we rallied back and did not give up. We hit some big shots from outside but we did not get to the free-throw line enough."
The Pioneers will return to action when they host Texas A&M-Kingsville on Wednesday, Feb. 11. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. in Kitty Magee Arena.
