Caroline Noel notched a career-high 12 kills and
Miri Shade posted 10 for Texas Woman's University in a three-set loss (17-25, 26-28, 22-25) to No. 13 Tarleton State Friday night inside Wisdom Gym.

Katy Ranes tallied a match-high 33 assists, and
Bailey French registered a match-high 17 digs. The Pioneers (10-11, 7-5 LSC) hit .173 with 37 kills during on the evening, while the TexAnns (19-4, 11-1 LSC) amassed a .219 attack percentage with 50 kills.

A block by
Courtney Noel and
Makayla Mayfield tied set one at 5-all, but the TexAnns posted seven kills and the Pioneers committed two errors for a nine-point TSU run. A kill by
Courtney Noel and three straight TexAnn errors closed the gap to 19-14. A kill by
Miri Shade kept it a five-point game at 21-16, but TSU closed out the match with an eight-point victory.

The TexAnns jumped ahead 9-4 in the second set before back-to-back kills by
Caroline Noel sparked a seven-point run. Consecutive errors by the TexAnns put the Pioneers up 16-13, but TSU regained the leads at 21-20 and acquired set-point at 24-22. A kill by Shade and block by
Caroline Noel alongside Shade made for a 24-24 tie, and the teams were square at 25 and 26-all before successive kills by TSU's Hailey Roberts closed the set.

Courtney Noel along with a block from Shade and
Courtney Noel gave TWU a 3-0 lead to begin set three. Shade and
Caroline Noel added two more kills for a 5-1 advantage, but a 7-1 TSU run flipped the lead for an 8-6 edge. The Pioneers regained the lead at 16-15 on a
Caroline Noel kill and again at 22-21 on a kill by
Briley Cole-Lewis, but TSU's Roberts finalized the match with four straight kills.
