With three regular season games remaining, TWU sits in a sixth place tie with Cameron in the Lone Star standings with the top eight teams advancing to the conference tournament. Saygo is first within the league in scoring (18.8 ppg) and free throw attempts (150), third in free throws made (101), seventh in field-goal percentage (.436) and sixth in both field goals attempted (298) and field goals made (130).
Grace Mitchell is fifth in blocked shots (25), and
Alexis Nezianya ranks seventh in offensive rebounds per outing (2.5).

Following a rough non-conference slate in which TSU went 1-5, the TexAnns have gone 11-6 in LSC play and currently sit in fifth place. Mackenzie Hailey's 12 double-doubles lead the league, and she is first in rebounds with an average of 8.8, while current LSC Offensive Player of the Week Bailey Wipff is tops in free-throw percentage at 87-percent.

The TexAnns hold a 27-16 advantage over the Pioneers dating to the 1974-75 season. Before the 65-57 Pioneer loss earlier this season, TWU had won the last three matchups.

Kenesha Saygo scored a game-high 20 points for Texas Woman's University, but the Pioneers struggled overall from the field in a 65-57 loss to Tarleton State Thursday night inside Wisdom Gym.
TWU (10-5, 3-4 LSC) shot 19-of-59 in the contest compared to 24-of-52 from TSU (6-8, 5-3 LSC). The Pioneers had a good showing from the free throw line by hitting 17-of-22 and forced 17 TexAnn turnovers while committing just nine.
Kara Mitchell recorded 10 points,
Morgan Easley added nine and
Alexis Nezianya contributed six points and nine rebounds.

DENTON, Texas (Feb. 16, 2017) - Texas Woman's University built up a 14-point lead in the second half against Texas A&M-Commerce and were paced by a team-high 17 points and career-highs of 15 rebounds and six blocks from
Alexis Nezianya, but the Pioneers were outscored 25-4 over the final eight minutes in an 80-70 defeat Thursday night inside Kitty Magee Arena.
KJ Stastny came off of the bench to provide a career-high 14 points that included four three-pointers for the Pioneers. Each team spend a considerable amount of time at the free throw line with TWU knocking down 19-of-26 and TAMUC hitting 35-of-43, and the Lions grabbed 48 boards compared to 34 by the Pioneers.
