Soccer loses 2-0 at ENMU

PORTALES, N.M. (Sept. 24, 2017) - Texas Woman's University soccer was defeated 2-0 by Eastern New Mexico Sunday afternoon at Greyhound Stadium.
 
The Pioneers (3-3-3, 0-1-1 LSC) registered season-lows with just four shots and one shot on goal. Maddie Vickroy tallied seven saves for TWU.
 
The Greyhounds (2-4-2, 1-1-0 LSC) scored in the sixth minute on a cross off a corner kick and again in the 53rd minute off a deflection from three yards out.
 
Head Coach Babak Abouzar said, "We had some adversity that we weren't able to overcome today. We talked about it as a team after the game. We plan to learn from this and move on."
 
The Pioneers travel to Texas A&M-Commerce for a 7 p.m. contest Wednesday.
