DENTON, Texas (Nov. 18, 2018) — Texas Woman's hosted Oklahoma Christian in the final game of the Hilton Garden Inn Pioneer Classic, falling to the Lady Eagles 78-69.
"We dug ourselves a hole in the third quarter," head coach
Beth Jillson said. "But I was proud of the way we battled back."
Outscored 22-10 by the Lady Eagles in the second quarter, and despite trailing by as many as 15 in the third, the Pioneers continued to fight.

Carissa Moody and
London Archer, TWU narrowed the gap with an 8-0 run in the fourth quarter.
"London and Carissa were great for the whole weekend," Jillson added. "They were just really consistent for us all weekend."
Moody finished with 26 points and 12 boards, recording her second double-double of the weekend, while Archer posted 11 points and 12 rebounds.
Bri'Anna Gray provided a strong contribution with 12 points and five rebounds before fouling out in the fourth quarter.
Off the bench,
Macy Wilkerson provided a lift, recording 11 points on 3-of-9 shooting from behind the arc.
Next Saturday, the Pioneers will play host to Huston-Tillotson at 2 p.m.
