SAN ANTONIO, Texas (January 30, 2020) Texas Woman's (6-11, 4-9) fell to St. Mary's (9-9, 8-6) in a road contest Thursday evening at Bill Greehey Arena in San Antonio.

The Pioneers were led by Ma'K'La Woods who poured in a career high 24 points on 10-17 shooting from the field, including going 1-2 from three. The junior from Little Elm also grabbed a team high seven rebounds in 34 minutes.

TWU was able to take a one-point lead into halftime thanks to a first quarter defensive effort that limited St. Mary's to eight points on 27 percent shooting from the field. The second and third quarter turned, as the Rattlers connected on 14 of their 29 shots from the field, including five from behind the arc, to take a 51-43 lead into the fourth.

The Pioneers opened the final frame with a 9-0 run capped by a layup from Kameron Daily on a pass from Woods to take a 52-51 lead with 7:17 remaining in the game. St. Mary's retook the lead on a jumper with 5:25 remaining and were able to hold on for the remainder of the game.
