FIVE THINGS TO KNOW
  • JUST STAY HOME - Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, no fans will be permitted at TWU athletic events until further notice.
  • MA'K'ING HER WAY UP THE CAREER CHARTS - Senior forward Ma'K'La Woods entered the season with 607 career points, needing to score 53 points to pass Ria Pateraki, who played at TWU from 2012-15 to move into the top-25 in all-time points scored at TWU. Woods now sits nine points away from Pateraki's mark.
  • CHASING 200 - Pioneers head coach Beth Jillson, in her 13th season at TWU, is the winningest coach in program history with 189 career wins - 115 ahead of the second-highest total. She sits 11 wins away from 200 for her career.
  • THE ALL-TIME SERIES - Tuesday's game is the 66th all-time meeting between the two teams, with Angelo State holding a 45-20 all-time advantage in the series. TWU is looking for its first win over Angelo State since a 77-70 win in Denton on February 21, 2016. TWU has done its best work in the series on the home court - the record between the teams in Denton is 14-14.
  • DOUBLE YOUR PLEASURE - Two Pioneers players have posted double-doubles thus far this season - Kam Daily tied a career-high with 12 points and grabbed 10 boards against Midwestern State, while Ma'K'La Woods turned in a 13-point, 14-rebound performance against Oklahoma Christian.
