The Pioneers now hold a 3-5 Lone Star Conference record and move to 12-8 in the regular season, while the Lady Buffs win their eighth conference match of the season to extend their winning streak.

West Texas A&M took an early advantage in the first set with a six-point run, creating a wide gap between themselves and the Pioneers and closed the first set 25-11.

A push from the Pioneers offensive front created more opportunities to score at the net; however, the Lady Buffs did not budge, claiming set two 25-14.

The Pioneers tied early in the third set, with hopes of taking the Lady Buffs to a fourth set, but the Lady Buffs who pull out the win 25-15, to close the match.

Offensively, the Pioneers adjusted their line of attack, looking for deep corners and playing off the opponent's block, but the Lady Buffs held TWU to a .036 hitting percentage.

Trixie Oche led the Pioneers in kills, posting six, followed by Monica Wood with four and Luna Van Baars recorded three.
