KEYS TO WEEKEND WINS
  • CRASH THE BOARDS: Against Harding, the Pioneers were out-rebounded 43-35. While not a huge margin, the biggest difference was 19 offensive rebounds for Harding for second-chance opportunities. The Pioneers will look to gain position and rebound the ball effectively this weekend.
  • PROTECT THE ROCK: In their first two games, the Pioneers turned over the basketball a combined 18 times. Against Harding, TWU turned it over 25 times, which lead to 23 points for the Bisons. TWU will look to take care of the ball this weekend to generate positive offensive possessions.
  • DIVERSIFIED SCORING: While the Pioneers have seen their entire roster make an impact early on this season, they will look to diversify their scoring attack in terms of court location. The Pioneers typically dominate on downhill offensive attacks, scoring almost 50% of their points in the paint. Although this is a clear strength, the Pioneers will look to become a stronger outside shooting threat to make them even harder to defend.
