TRIPLE THREAT
- SIMILAR OPPONENTS: The Pioneers and Mustangs faced two of the same opponents in nonconference action: East Central and Southeastern Oklahoma State. The Pioneers defeated ECU 70-68 and Southeastern Oklahoma State 72-63. However, MSU lost to both of those opponents (ECU 70-62 and SEOSU 71-65). The Mustangs have not won since Nov. 12, when they beat UC Colorado Springs. The Pioneers most recently defeated Henderson State at home on Nov. 26. They will look to keep the win streak going on Wednesday night.
- LOCKDOWN: The Pioneers have held their opponents to single-digit scoring in a quarter four times this season. Additionally, they force their opponents into an average of 16.7 turnovers per game, while only turning the ball over 13 times. Midwestern State currently averages 21 turnovers per game. The Pioneers will look to lock down defensively and force the Mustangs to turn the ball over.
- FREE: TWU, on average, gets to the free throw line eight more times than their opponent. The Pioneers are currently shooting .677 from the line as a team. Midwestern State's opponents, on average, shoot 21 free throws in the game. On Wednesday, the Pioneers will look to get to the free throw line and take advantage of those opportunities.
