SAN ANGELO, Texas (March 8, 2023) – The three-game series to Angelo State (17-9, 9-6) ends in a sweep over Texas Woman's (13-11, 7-8) softball.

The Rambelles wasted no time in game two and three, as they powered through the Pioneers ending game two 6-0 and game three 10-0 in five innings.

The Pioneers were held scoreless in both games. In game two, the Pioneers recorded four hits and one error followed by game three with three hits and one error.

Starting pitcher
Janyssa Ramos (1-2) made her third appearance in the circle for the Pioneers in game two, allowing three hits and one run. Ramos put in three innings of work before the Rambelles scored their first run in the bottom of the third.

Jalee McDonald and
Allison Gonzalez also saw action from the circle in game two. McDonald pitched in the fourth inning and faced two batters in the fifth, allowing three hits and four runs. With two innings of work Gonzalez closed game two with two hits and one run.

In game three the Pioneers started with
Kelsie Briggs (3-3) on the mound to pitch in three and 1/3 innings.
Jules Malis and McDonald were added to the mix late in the game. The Pioneer trio totaled 12 hits and 10 runs to cap the evening.

Leading the Pioneers in batting was
Alyssa LeBlanc with two hits in game two, followed by
Alexys Ginegaw with one hit per game.
Lauren Trinh,
Ciana Rodriguez, and
Kennedy Marlow each recorded one hit on the night.

The Pioneers are set to take on West Texas A&M Saturday, March 11 at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m., followed by game three on Sunday, March 12 at 1 p.m.
