PIONEERS NAMED NO. 2 SEED IN ELITE EIGHT

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (March 19, 2023) – The Texas Woman's basketball team is Elite Eight Bound for the first time in program history.

On Tuesday, March 19, the full bracket and Elite Eight seedings were released. The South Central Regional Champions TWU (32-4) are the No. 2 seed. They are set to face the No. 7 seed Daemen (23-7) on Monday, March 25 at 2:30 p.m.

Of the final eight teams in Division II, Gannon (34-2) was named the No. 1 seed of the Elite Eight, Ferris State (25-5) is the No. 3 seed, Georgia Southwestern (29-3) was named the No. 4 seed, Minnesota State – Mankato (29-5) comes in at the No. 5 seed, Tampa (31-6) is the No. 6 seed and Cal State San Marcos (26-6) rounded out the Top 8 teams in St. Joseph.

The quarterfinal games will begin on Monday, March 25. All games will be played at the St. Joseph Civic Arena (100 North Fourth Street St. Joseph, MO 64501). For tickets and venue information, visit https://stjomosports.com/.

The quarterfinal round will be streamed on NCAA Championships Pass. Games will be available on NCAA.com or through the NCAA Championships Pass available for Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV and Google TV. The quarterfinal game will cost $9.95 per game or $29.95 per championship. The Final Four and the Championship games will be streamed on CBS Sports Network.
