MADE FOR MOMENTS IN MARCH
- LAST MEETING: The Pioneers and the Falcons met once this season on the road in Odessa, Texas. In their final road game of the regular season, TWU claimed the win 62-56. Leila Patel led the Pioneers with 13 points, and Ashley Ingram finished with 11 points. The Pioneers outrebounded the Falcons 37-32. TWU held UTPB to shooting just 25.5% from the field and 18.5% from beyond the arc. The two teams both turned the ball over 16 times each. TWU dominated the paint with 30 points to the Falcons' 14.
- SECOND CHANCE POINTS: In their last meeting, UTPB grabbed 13 offensive rebounds for 14 second chance points. On the other side, the Pioneers recorded 11 offensive rebounds for 11 second chance points. TWU will look to secure the rebounds on the defensive end to limit the second chance opportunities for the Falcons.
- LSC STATS: In the LSC, the Pioneers rank third in offense (67.9 points per game), and the Falcons rank fourth in offense (67.9 points per game). While both teams rank high in offense, the Pioneers also rank high in defense. TWU ranks first in the LSC and fourth in Division II defense, holding teams to 50.7 points per game. The Pioneers also average the best field goal percentage in the LSC, 44.8%, and hold teams to the second lowest field goal percentage in the LSC at 34.3% per game. UTPB does average the second most made threes in a game, 7.9 per game, so TWU will look to defend the three point line well. The Pioneers do rank No. 1 in rebounding margin, and they will look to continue to capitalize on that, as TWU out-rebounds their opponent by an average of 7.4 rebounds per game. Finally, the Pioneers will look to share the wealth, as they rank second in the LSC in assists per game with 15.28.
