FRISCO, Texas (March 7, 2025) – The Texas Woman's basketball will meet the five-seed Angelo State on Saturday at 12 p.m. in the Lone Star Conference Tournament Semifinals.
TWU (29-1, 21-1) will meet ASU (18-11, 13-9) for the second time this season. The Pioneers last met the Rambelles in post season action in the LSC Championship Title game in 2023.
The No. 1 Pioneers will tip-off with ASU at 12 p.m. on Saturday, March 8 in the Comerica Center.

MADE FOR MOMENTS IN MARCH
- LAST MEETING: TWU and ASU met in the regular season on Feb. 20, and the Pioneers claimed the win, 69-51. The Pioneers posted two quarters of 21 points and held Angelo State to just nine points in the second quarter. Ashley Ingram led the Pioneers with 17 points, and Leila Patel and Ashley Ingram both added 16 points each. TWU scored 42 points in the paint and shot 46.6% from the field. They held the Rambelles to shooting 27.7% from the field and allowed them to score just three points off turnovers. TWU allowed just two Rambelles to score in double-digits.
- START STRONG: In the first meeting with ASU, the Rambelles outscored the Pioneers 17-11 in the opening quarter of action. TWU responded with two straight quarters of 21 points and won the three remaining quarters. The Pioneer will look to start strong with the early tip-time on Saturday afternoon.
- TAKE CARE OF THE BALL: TWU committed 15 turnovers in the first meeting at ASU. Nevertheless, they got back well on defense and only allowed the Rambelles to score three points off those turnovers. The Pioneers did force ASU to commit 16 turnovers and scored 12 points of those turnovers. In the game on Saturday, TWU will look to protect the ball and lock down on defense to get the win.
