DENTON, Texas (Sept. 5, 2025) – Pioneer Soccer returns to Pioneer Soccer Park as Texas Woman's hosts Mississippi College on Saturday, Sept. 6 at 1 p.m. in their 2025 home opener.
Texas Woman's (1-0-0) looks to build on its dominant season opening road win over East Central, while the visiting Choctaws (0-1-0) arrive in Denton following a 3-1 loss to Dallas Baptist on Thursday.

A LOOK AT THE CHOCTAWS: The Choctaws finished the 2024 season 8-6-3 and reached the Gulf South Conference Quarterfinals. With a mix of returning talent and new additions, Mississippi College is aiming to bounce back from its season opening loss to DBU. The Choctaws were selected to finish fifth in the 2025 GSC Coaches Poll.

A LOOK AT THE PIONEERS: TWU entered the season picked third in the Lone Star Conference Preseason Poll. On Thursday, the Pioneers opened their campaign with a 4-0 shutout win at East Central, avenging last year's season opening loss to the Tigers. The offense was firing on all cylinders, recording 21 total shots, 11 on goal, and four different goal scorers. The defense held ECU to eight total shots and no goals.

KEYS TO THE GAME: ATTACK EARLY AND OFTEN >> The Pioneers will aim to carry its early-season momentum into the home opener. The Choctaws allowed 21 shots in their loss to DBU, and the Pioneers will look to exploit that vulnerability with a relentless attack.
