DENTON, Texas (Feb 18, 2026) - The Texas Woman's gymnastics team celebrated two Midwest Independent Conference Weekly Award winners this week.
Earning her first MIC weekly award of the season, Kyleigh Ghanbari received the Performance of the Week accolade. Jordan Loock earned her first MIC Weekly Award of the season as well, as she received the Co-MIC Coaches' Choice award this week.
In the Pioneers' meet at Centenary, Ghanbari competed in three events. She won the floor exercise with a 9.90. On bars, she scored a 9.775, and she tied for fifth on beam with a 9.750, a career high.
"Kyleigh has been so consistent in her hard work to really hone in on the details of her floor routine, and it was so exciting to see all of those details come together in this weekend's competition routine," said TWU Gymnastics Head Coach Lisa Bowerman. "Her routine is truly a showstopper in any arena we enter, and I know there is more to come for her on this event this season and beyond!"
Loock competed in two events at Centenary, earning the Co-MIC Coaches' Choice Award, which is voted on weekly by the league's head coaches.
She tied for third on bars with a career-high 9.750 and placed fourth on beam with a career-best 9.775. Loock has competed in the vault lineup in every meet this season and also scored a career-high 9.775 on the event last weekend.
"Jordan has overcome so much in her short time as a Pioneer," Bowerman said. "Starting off her career last year with an Achilles tear before her first official practice was an incredibly difficult scenario. But Jordan has given 100 percent effort to every step of the rehab process, and it has been exciting to see her competing this season. Watching her compete in the bars lineup for the first time this season was pure joy. I am so proud of her and know it is just the beginning for this amazing athlete."
The honors mark the sixth and seventh MIC weekly awards for the Pioneers this season, the sixth Performance of the Week award and the second Coaches' Choice Award.
