AUSTIN, Texas (March 23, 2026) - After a midweek split at Dianne Baker Field, the Texas Woman's softball team built on its momentum and finished 4-0 on the road against St. Mary's and St. Edward's. TWU (18-14, 14-6) opened on Friday with a tight 3-2 win and a dominant 6-1 victory over StMU (18-15, 10-10) before taking two games over SEU (8-23, 5-15) on Sunday, 4-3 and 10-6.
With five straight wins on the week, the Pioneers moved into fifth in the Lone Star Conference standings with an overall record of 18-16 and a 14-6 mark in conference play. A hot week at the plate was key to the Pioneers' offensive success, as they scored 23 runs over four games and outscored their opponents 23-12.

Mallory Medina got the Pioneers started on offense in San Antonio with an RBI double to take a 1-0 lead in the top of the second.

TWU trailed heading into the fourth until another RBI double, this time by Trinity Perry, scored Madison Altman to tie the game at 2-2.

A solo home run from Riley Todd in the fifth gave TWU the 3-2 win over the Rattlers to seal game one.
Game 2 vs. St. Mary's (TWU won 6-1)

TWU jumped out to an early lead in the second game of the doubleheader with three RBIs after capitalizing on a wild pitch from the Rattlers to make it 4-0.

Madison Lux added to the Pioneer lead in the second inning with an RBI single to score Tamia Cherry.

Cherry added an insurance run for the Pioneers with an RBI single up the middle to secure the 6-1 victory and series sweep against St. Mary's.

After a slow start from both squads, an RBI single from Hawwa Townsend and an error by the Hilltoppers in the third gave TWU a 2-0 lead in game one.

Lux extended TWU's lead to 3-1 in the sixth inning with a solo home run to left field.

The Hilltoppers responded with two runs in the sixth to tie it at 3-3, but a sacrifice bunt execution allowed the Pioneers to take the narrow 4-3 win over SEU in game one.
Game 2 vs. St. Edward's (TWU won 10-6)

Marissa Espinoza started game two strong with her 100th career hit, a grand slam, to give TWU a 4-0 lead.

In the third inning, the Pioneers scored four more runs to extend their lead to 8-0 before Medina added an RBI single in the fourth to make it 9-0.

Despite St. Edward's momentum at the plate in the sixth inning to make it a tight game, Camille Soriano and the Pioneers closed out the Hilltoppers 10-6 in the seventh after an RBI sacrifice fly from Perry.
