DENTON, Texas (March 31, 2026) - Texas Woman's basketball fell to No. 6 in the final regular-season Women's Basketball Coaches Association National Poll, after a loss to third-seeded Colorado Mesa in the regional final.
TWU won 30 straight games prior to the South Central Regional final and finished as Lone Star Conference regular-season champions with a perfect 20-0 record. The Pioneers also claimed the 2026 LSC tournament title for the third consecutive year at the Comerica Center in Frisco, Texas.
Conference foe West Texas A&M (28-5) dropped to No. 13 after an opening-round loss in the South Central Regional to UT Tyler, while Colorado Mesa (37-2) finished No. 3 after advancing to the Final Four.
Grand Valley State (36-1) claimed the top spot following their second consecutive Division II title.
