DENTON, Texas (March 4, 2026) - Texas Woman's basketball team maintained their position at No.1 in the NCAA Division II South Central Regional rankings for the second consecutive week.

The latest rankings, released Wednesday, place TWU (26-1, 20-0) atop the region ahead of West Texas A&M (26-3), Colorado Mesa (30-1) and Lubbock Christian (23-6). Adams State (21-9), Colorado-Colorado Springs (19-9), UT Tyler (18-9) and Eastern New Mexico (19-9) round out the top eight. Western Colorado (16-10) and Angelo State (15-11) complete the top 10.

TWU has won 25 consecutive games and finished the regular season as Lone Star Conference champions with a perfect 20-0 record. The Pioneers lead the conference in field goal percentage (44.7%) and free throw percentage (77.3%), while ranking third in scoring offense at 70.1 points per game. Defensively, TWU allows just 54.3 points per game and 32.3 rebounds per contest, ranking second and third in the LSC, respectively. The team also holds a 0.98 assist-to-turnover ratio, third-best in the league.

The Pioneers enter the LSC Tournament and the South Central Regional postseason as the top seed, looking to extend their winning streak and continue their push for the LSC Tournament championship.
